CASE STUDY

RootBridge at the RBGE

The first phase of the refurb at the Royal Botanic Gardens of Edinburgh involved the creation of a new, efficient, eco-friendly and sustainable energy centre, and state-of-the-art plant health suite. Access to the area where this building is being constructed passed close several trees calling for root protection suitable to support construction traffic up to 30ton. The RootBridge 50kN system was used to bridge these areas, creating two short sections of fully supported roadway.
